TopLeft Improvements - July 2026
Here are a few things we improved in July that didn't get their own update posts.
General Improvements
- In Conditional Formatting, a filter is now available for scheduled assignments/service calls/appointments (terminology varies by PSA). You can highlight a record if a scheduled assignment is within a certain number of days or if one exists or doesn't exist. This is useful for highlight work with upcoming calls or work that should have a call but doesn't.
- Phases can be edited from the capacity planning view in phase mode. Here's the phase editor.
- For filtering records in views, date filters are now relative. For example, you can specify a due date 5 days from now or a start date 3 days ago. All filters are specified in days except SLA filters are in hours.
- We now keep a copy of closed project tickets as long as the project is open. Previously we removed our copy of a project ticket about 1 day after it was closed, even if the project was still open. This is in preparation for improved tools we're building related to project health reports.
ConnectWise
ConnectWise tickets now have an Opportunity field. You can also filter, group, label by opportunity.
HaloPSA
HaloPSA tickets can be moved between companies by changing the contact, just like in HaloPSA. Tickets without a company can now be assigned a contact and company in TopLeft.
Invisible Improvements
We've been working hard in the background too. We performed significant upgrades to the Docker images and web framework that run our application. We also reduced the data synchronization work done outside of business hours in order to be more efficient with compute resources, and we implemented automatic scaling of our cloud infrastructure to be more efficient.
