Here's a summary of what we shipped in TopLeft during June 2026. It was a big month, headlined by Conditional Formatting and the new Project Health tool, plus a batch of smaller improvements.

Conditional Formatting (available by request)

Style your board cards based on rules you define, so the cards that need attention stand out at a glance.

• Formatting options include card background, left border, outline, ribbon, icons, and tooltips — with dark-mode support.
• Per-stage overrides, and rule matching that works independently of your board's filters.
• Formatting can key off a growing set of fields, including ConnectWise Agreement/Agreement Type, Opportunity, and Subtype/Item.

Project Health board (available by request)

A new read-only Project Health board on project-overview views, alongside Kanban, Gantt, and Capacity Planning — computed from your already-synced PSA data.

• Health signals for Schedule, Budget, Activity, Margin, and Milestones, rolled into a composite score.
• Your column selection is remembered per view.
• A View project health shortcut on each project card's menu.

This is also available by request.

ConnectWise

• New Opportunity field on tickets: an editor dropdown that writes back to ConnectWise, plus filtering, swimlane grouping, card labels, and conditional formatting.
• Subtype and Item are now available as card fields, filters, and swimlane groups (mirroring Type).
• Filter and group tickets by Agreement and Agreement Type.
• Filter projects by Manager.
• Service vs. project tickets are now prefixed S / P on cards in the new UI (e.g. “Ticket S1234”).

Autotask

• A new Hours card field on tickets and tasks showing logged vs. estimated hours.

Gantt

• Export Gantt to PDF — one-click, multi-page PDF of your Gantt you can print or send on to your colleagues.

TopLeft shipped a range of improvements in April and May 2026, with a focus on time entry accuracy, Gantt and capacity planning, and board filtering across ConnectWise, Autotask, and HaloPSA integrations.

General Improvements

Gantt "Today" Line

Gantt charts in the new interface now offer an option to draw a vertical line marking today's date, making it easy to see where current work sits against the schedule.

Gantt and Capacity Planning Legend

A legend now appears on Gantt charts and capacity planning, explaining what the taskbar colours mean and which dates each bar represents.

Capacity Planning Options Refresh

Visualization options moved from the bottom of the capacity planner up to the button bar to save space and stay prominent, and your choices are now saved per view and reapplied the next time you open it.

Region-Aware Dates

Gantt charts and capacity planning now format dates according to your locale, so dates appear as MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY as appropriate rather than a single fixed format.

Timer in the Fullscreen Editor

The timer now works inside the fullscreen editor and stays in sync across the nav menu and any other open editors for the same ticket within your browser.

View Editing Preview Accuracy

The record preview and preview count now take team, team-member filtering, and unassigned record visibility into account, giving a more accurate representation of what a view will show.

Fewer Unexpected Logouts

Sessions now refresh on every request, so you're no longer logged out at inconvenient times.

ConnectWise Improvements

Board and Team Filtering

ConnectWise board filters and team member matching now work correctly together, so groups and cards respect all of your filter rules as expected.

Automatic Lists Setting

A new account option lets you disable the rich text editor's automatic lists when typing *, -, or 1., while keeping the toolbar list button and existing lists fully functional.

Cleaner ConnectWise Standard Notes

Backslashes that previously appeared before periods in synced ConnectWise standard notes have been removed.

Autotask Improvements

Autotask Overnight Time Entries

The new interface now handles overnight Autotask time entries automatically, correctly calculating duration when an end time falls before the start time.

Autotask HH:MM Time Entries

Creating and editing Autotask time entries now works correctly when HH:MM mode is enabled in your account settings.

Autotask Roles in Time Entries

The role dropdown for Autotask time entries in the new interface now includes both department-based and service desk roles, so every valid role appears.

HaloPSA Improvements

HaloPSA Time Editing

The Halo "time taken" field now updates correctly in HH:MM display mode, and the unsaved-entry prompt uses clearer button wording ("Dismiss unsaved entry").

One of TopLeft's key features for Autotask users is the ability to show service tickets and project tasks in one view. Autotask doesn't offer this function, but seeing service and project work together is a critical view needed by many MSPs.

TopLeft's new UI for Autotask now supports views with service and project work together. Here's an example showing service and project work together in the board view. Service tickets have a white background and project tasks have a grey background.

The old UI for Autotask has offered this kind of view for a long time already, so those who were using this in the old UI can now replace their old boards with new views.

To create a view showing both service and project work, as an administrator click Views in the main menu, then Create View, then "Tickets and Tasks".

Views in the new TopLeft UI can be filtered using User Defined Fields (UDFs), aka Custom Fields, from your PSA.

You can use this to show tickets on a Kanban board that match a user defined field value in the PSA. For example:

• In a text field for required skillset, you can include tickets where skillset includes "azure" (see screenshot below).
• In a numeric field for customer rating, you can include tickets with a value less than 3.0.
• In a date field for request date, you can include tickets where the request date was more than 7 days ago.

UDF filtering generally works for strings, numbers, and date fields.

As a reminder, UDFs can be used in a few ways in TopLeft: they can be shown on cards, be used in automatic ordering within columns or grouping in swimlanes, and now they can be used in filtering.

In TopLeft's new UI, you can set up links for tickets to third-party apps. For example, if you use Nilear you might have a ticket open in TopLeft and want to open it in Nilear, and now you can do so easily.

Links appear in the card menu:

Links work for projects and other records too, not just tickets.

To set up custom links, as an administrator navigate to the Settings page, then under Customization click Custom Links.

Then choose the type of record for which to make the link, specify a label, and enter the URL. In place of the ticket ID, enter [record_id]- this is replaced with the ticket number in the link in the menu or editor.

Device configurations can now be viewed and managed in TopLeft! This makes it easy for technicians to remote into PCs and servers without leaving TopLeft, to associate configurations with tickets, and to view the configuration details.

The feature is available in the ticket editing pane and is labelled according to the name of the feature in your PSA: configurations (ConnectWise), Devices (Autotask), or Assets (HaloPSA).

When viewing attached configurations, you can click Connect to connect to the device remotely, Manage to show it in your RMM app, and ⬈ to open the configuration in your PSA. (Buttons and labels vary between PSAs and integrated RMM apps.)

You can also search for configurations, attach a configuration to a ticket, or remove a configuration from a ticket.

It's one less reason to return to your PSA to complete your work!

Now in TopLeft you can view a list of schedule entries and edit them too. ConnectWise calls these records schedule entries, Autotask calls them service calls, and Halo calls them appointments.

In the record editing screen, on the Dispatch tab, you'll now see a pod like this.

To edit the schedule, click edit. The details appear in the editing form for you to update.

To delete the schedule, just click delete and confirm the prompt.

ConnectWise users can click "Mark done" to mark the schedule as finished. This causes it to disappear from the list, since TopLeft only shows not-done schedules. You can mark your own or other user's schedules as finished.

TopLeft now supports standard notes to make it easier for technicians to add time entries and write notes on tickets.

This is how the function appears for ConnectWise customers:

Select one of the standard note names to add the associated text to whatever is already in the note field.

The function differs depending on what PSA you use.

• ConnectWise- when making time entries or notes, click "Apply standard note" to see the list of notes. Standard notes are taken from the ConnectWise API so they match what's available in ConnectWise.
• HaloPSA- similar to ConnectWise, except the feature is known as Canned Text so the button is labelled "Apply canned text".
• Autotask- the feature most similar to standard notes is known as "Form Templates", and unfortunately the data is not available in the Autotask API. TopLeft rebuilt some of the Form Templates feature and it must be configured by an administrator before technicians can use it. To configure a form template, click the gear in the navigation menu, then All Settings, then under Customization click Form Templates. You can supply not just note text but also values for the Note Type, Work Type, Role, and other fields.

Here's a summary of things we improved in the TopLeft app in March 2026 that didn't deserve their own updates, but which you might still appreciate.

• When using grouping on Kanban boards, support for dragging and dropping between groups was added for these fields:
  • Autotask task: category, phase, priority
  • Autotask ticket: category, due date, queue, priority
  • ConnectWise project: ConnectWise board, manager, type
  • ConnectWise ticket: company site, ConnectWise board, due date, location, project phase, start date, team, type
• Groups are loaded on the Kanban board in a consistent order and generally from top to bottom, to avoid loading new groups at the top of the board one after another.
• The design of the timer controls was refined and clarified.
• The "time in status" field is consistently set and updated for all cards in the new UI. This prevents cards from appearing without a value for how long they have been in a certain status.
• On the page for configuring views, the fields for team, filtering to team members, and showing unassigned cards are now used in the preview table to give a more accurate reflection of the cards that match the setup.
• On ConnectWise ticket boards, when entering time, changing the work type field updates the billable field to match the work type's setting.
• On ConnectWise ticket boards, merged and child tickets are no longer shown by default, but they can be included by query rules.
• On ConnectWise ticket boards, making overnight time entries now works properly.
  
  

The legacy TopLeft UI supports User Defined Fields (UDFs) from your PSA and now the new TopLeft UI supports them too.

Our new UI offers UDFs in three contexts:

1. Showing as labels on cards
2. Grouping of records
3. Automatic ordering of cards in columns

This is configured on the view editing page by selecting a UDF in the Card Fields list, Automatic Ordering field, or Default Grouping field. UDFs are indicated by "(UDF)" after the field name.

UDFs are supported for ConnectWise, Autotask, and HaloPSA.

We plan further support for UDFs in the not-too-distant future: offering UDFs as rules in the view query builder (this work is in progress already) and editing of UDFs in the ticket editing screen.
